• In my first properly published piece in a while, I interviewed style icon MP Chlöe Swarbrick about the Green Party vintage jumper, which is simultaneously a great garment and a representation of a broader political shift in this country.

• One of the great mansplaining phrases, “correlation doesn’t imply causation,” torn to shreds.

• East St. Hall is open and it looks so good. I didn’t go to opening night, I’d suggest leaving it a few weeks so the influencer buzz dies down a little, but this has the potential to be a great place to get a bite, have a drink and dance all night without too much “out on the town” grossness.

• I just rewatched Succession on Neon and it was every bit as good as it was the first time. If you haven’t watched it yet, get on it.

• A fascinating interview with James Shaw and Marama Davidson about why you should vote Green and what working with Winston Peters is like.

• Church from Church & AP has been interviewing political party leaders for RE: and he’s really good at it. This guy can do it all, I swear.

• If you want some relaxing food porn, Chef’s Table BBQ on Netflix is just the ticket.

• Brilliant coastal elitist podcast How Long Gone has a Twitch show now, but I’ve been watching it after the fact on YouTube. Hosts Chris Black and Jason Stewart are very smart, very funny, and so is this show.

• Striped shirts with mix and match fabric (a la Comme Des Garçons Shirt) are very much in vogue at the moment, and this is a good option (albeit one at the upper limit of my price range) with a summer-friendly short sleeve. I am very much on the lookout for good summer collared shirts, so send me any options.

• I’m not exactly sure what the Kowtow Collective is, but if you join you go into the draw to win a $2,000 wardrobe from one of NZ’s best brands, so what is there to lose?

• Speaking of Kowtow, these jeans which are being styled with lots of their new drop aren’t out yet, but I want a pair.

• It’s nearly Birkenstock season, and this pair gets you in the club for $80, which is pretty good, I have a pair and can attest they are good sandals (I hate sandals, so this is saying a lot).

• Remember to VOTE! You have one more week to get it done, it’s easy and quick and will make this a better country to live in! I’ve already done it and it took less than five minutes, so you have no excuse. Here’s a place where you can find nearby polling places.
